Tokyo Session:
Japan’s Tertiary Industry Activity Index m/m came out at 1.1% (previous -1.6%) while the forecast was 1.2% along with UK’s Rightmove House Price Index m/m which also came out negative at -3.2% (previous -0.7%)
This pushed the GBP/JPY to 227.90 area
New York Session:
We are going to have some interesting data release from the US today.
Empire State Business Conditions Index is expected to come out at 20.0 (previous 27.4) beside this Current Account and TIC Net Transactions (Long Term) both are forecasted to be better than previous period.
As the cable is in a slightly oversold stage right now it appears to be ranging till the mid London session.
